Detailed Itineraries
Day 1:
Victoria Falls - Luangwa Bridge, Zambia
Leaving early from Livonstone we head north through rural
Zambia to Luangwa Bridge. (B)
Day 2: Chipata - Zambia
Today we drive through to the border where we camp in the
small town of Chipata. (B,L,D)
Days 4, 5, 6: Lake Malawi - Malawi
We journey through Lilongwe to our camp on the shores of
Lake Malawi. We spend time relaxing on the shores of this
sparkling blue watered lake, exploring the area, and
shopping in the markets. This is the time for rest and
relaxation. If you feel energetic there are plenty of water
sports, or you can relax and take a walk along the shoreline
- even try your hand at fishing. You will enjoy the
friendliness of the locals you meet everywhere you go. (B,D)
Day 7 : Blantyre - Malawi
After breakfast we head southwards to the town of Blantyre,
where we will spend our last night in Malawi. (B,D)
Day 8: Chimoio- Mozambique
Today we cross into Mozambique and head for Chimoio, where
we set up camp for the night. (B,L,D)
Day 9: Vilanculos - Mozambique
We reach the coast of Mozambique and relax on the beach of
this coastal town that we will be using as our base to
explore the Bazaruto Islands.
Days 10, 11, 12: Bazaruto - Mozambique
You have the option of spending these 3 days on the beach or
on an Arab dhow, sailing around the Bazaruto Islands - an
unforgettable experience. We take our own snorkelling gear
so we can stop often to explore the reefs, fish, swimming
and more. We camp on the island for two nights and then
return to Vilanculos. (B,L,D)
Days 13 & 14: Inhambane/ Tofo - Mozambique
Our beach days are not over yet, as we spend 2 nights
camping at Tofo and explore the bustling trading town of
Inhambane. During your free day you can snorkel, scuba dive,
take a long hike along the coast or explore the markets of
Inhambane. (B,D)
[Day 35 Kruger National Park (South Africa)
Leaving Maputo we travel the short distance to the South
African border where we make our way to the world-famous
Kruger National Park. We enter the Kruger Park and our game
viewing starts immediately. You have the option of a night
game drive and we relax around the fire. (B,D)
Day 16: Johannesburg - South Africa
After a free morning in Maputo, we cross back into South
Africa and continue on to Johannesburg, arriving late
afternoon. (B)
