Detailed Itineraries
Day 1: ARRIVE ARUSHA, TANZANIA
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Meet
and greet at the Airport with our driver and transfer to
Arusha town for dinner and overnight

Day 2 & 3: VISIT OSOTWA COMMUNITY BASED CONSERVATION
ORGANIZATION
- The Osotwa Mt. Meru Community based Conservation
Organization is a legally registered charitable
non-political, non-partisan and non-governmental
organization based in Arusha-Tanzania, established in 2001.
It is dedicated to addressing environmental issues and
ensures ecological sustainable development and proper use of
natural resources while promoting justifiable economic and
social development of the indigenous populations on the
slopes of Mt. Meru. The Osotwa Mt. Meru CBCO cooperates with
other community development groups and/or organizations to
meet the developmental needs of the poor communities around
Mt. Meru.Furthermore, equitable gender development through
environmental and economic empowerment for women is a
priority for the association.
Visiting Osotwa on these two days you will have an
opportunity to do the following activities; Cultural Tour at
Maasai Boma, visiting traditional Healer, Enjoy seeing the
maasai dancing and Nature Tour. Also if you are interested
you can test the traditional food.

Day 4: VISIT MULALA WOMENS'S PROJECT
- The women have created their projects to support their
families and to preserve their culture. Cheese,
butter-making, bread and banana wine-making are common
economic activities practice by the local women. There is
also a small shop where you can buy their products. Lemeka
Hill is home to numerous coffee and banana farms. A visit to
Mulala will give you an insight into the daily life of Meru
farmers and understanding of how these indigenous people
live. You can visit all the farms of the five women in the
women’s group. The women will explain about their farming
methods and show you various economic activities they have
started. Spectacular views of both Mt. Meru and Mt.
Kilimanjaro are available on clear days.

Day 5: VISIT LOCAL CHURCHES
- Attend morning Sunday Service at West Meru (Village) or
FPCT Kimahama(City). After Lunch you will Visit Historical
Nominal Church in Meru area. (Akeri) Akeri is located at the
base of mount meru. About July-August 1896 the first Germany
missionaries in meru (Ewald Ovir and Karl Segebrock) visited
this area. These missionaries were sent to Africa by
Missionaries association of Leipzig. On 20th of October,
these missionaries were killed by Moran (meru/waarusha)
Warriors. These missionaries were burred at Akeri where
Akeri Lutheran church was built. History’s lecture will be
provided for those decided to visit this place.

Day 6: BRIEF VISIT TO CHURCH RELATED ACTIVITIES
/MINISTRIES
- After breakfast, visit:- Ministry to Youth and Students
(New Life Band), Christian Literature Ministry, Information
about Sport Ministry. Break for Lunch. After Lunch Visit;
Christian Radio Ministry, Visit Christian Printing Press and
lastly Visit Ministry to the Blind People.

Day 7: ARUSHA TO MANYARA
- After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
for a full day game viewing. Picnic Lunch at the Parks
picnic area, and thereafter lunch continue with afternoon
game viewing. In the late evening drive to campsite in
Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: LAKE EYASI
- Wake up early for a pre-sunrise breakfast. Drive from the
camp for approx.20 minutes to locate the nomadic Bushmen
(Hadzabe). In the company of the bushmen, you will hunt on
foot using traditional weapons i.e. bows and arrows. The
Bushmen are related to the Kalahari Bushmen of South Africa.
They speak the same click language but do not understand
each other, as they have been apart for very long. The
Bushmen live a medieval kind of life style. They do not
build permanent homes but follow the animals in the area as
they trap and kill them for food. They are hunters and
gatherers. After a brief hunting stint with the Bushmen, we
go back to our vehicles and drive to the camp for a lunch.
After a short afternoon siesta, we depart the camp at
04:30PM and drive to lake Eyasi to view flamingoes enjoy the
sunset over the Rift Valley Escarpment.

Day 9: EYASI - NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
- You break camp at Lake Eyasi after breakfast and drive to
Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Dinner and overnight at the
Camp on the Ngorongoro crater rim.
Meals: Full Board
Accommodation: Simba Budget Campsite
Day 10: NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR
- After early breakfast, with your picnic lunch descend into
the Crater floor for full day game drive. Picnic lunch will
be served at the crater's picnic area near Lerai Forest or
Hippo Pool. After lunch proceed with game viewing in the
crater. In the evening ascend the crater and drive back to
the campsite for dinner and overnight

Day 11: NGORONGORO - ARUSHA - KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONA
AIRPORT (JRO)
- After breakfast break the camp at Ngorongoro and drive to
Arusha with your lunchbox. This is your time to do shopping
if your homebound flight departs Kilimanjaro Airport in the
evening. You may do some shopping in Arusha Town and then
transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect
with your homebound flight.
